Abstract

leadership which is believed to accelerate the attainment of school objectives is the effective leadership, i.e. the type ofleadership which manages to persuade, encourage, influenceand lead followers using various appropriate ways and strategiesto jointly achieve the predetermined goals. The use of an appropriate leadership style supported  by positive school cultures will support the creation of highly effective leadership. In other words,the increased effectiveness of the principal’s leadership can be sought by improving school cultures and the democratic leadership style. This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. The sample were collected using the technique of probability sampling with a total sample of 62 teachers
